Smile! It happened… but there is more!

Smile! It happened… but there is more!

“Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened.” -Dr. Seuss

This quote from Dr. Seuss seemed so fitting. You know, Illinois is feeling a little more like home everyday. While I still find myself missing Texas and all the people and places I grew to love I’m just so thankful and happy that Texas happened. Texas was the beginning of Gods plan for our family’s future. It was a wonderful season. Texas is where God called our family to Illinois. That wonderful Texas part of our life is over but we smile. We smile because it happened and because it happened this new beautiful Illinois story can be written.

“For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to harvest. A time to kill and a time to heal. A time to tear down and a time to build up. A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance. A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones. A time to embrace and a time to turn away. A time to search and a time to quit searching. A time to keep and a time to throw away. A time to tear and a time to mend. A time to be quiet and a time to speak. A time to love and a time to hate. A time for war and a time for peace. What do people really get for all their hard work? I have seen the burden God has placed on us all. Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.” Ecclesiastes 3:1-11

This season we are in is beautiful and I’m so thankful that God has had His hand in it. What season has come to an end in your life? Smile! That season ending is an open door to your next adventure! Just wait! You’ll see!

Why did I start with a Dr. Seuss quote? Read Across America starts this week. I have compiled five of Dr. Seuss’ books that teach us valuable life lessons. I will post a short and simple blog highlighting a different book by Dr. Seuss and it’s lesson each morning. Hope you will click the link and check it out. Below are a few pictures of Ellie and I enjoying Read Across America over the past two years! We get into it. To us it’s a pretty big deal. 😂

Howdy! I am passionate about sharing simple God lessons through everyday real life events in my daily life. I’ve been writing since I was 11. What started off as a way to escape or cope with the uncertainty of life, has turned into a calling. I do believe that God has called me to share what He has placed on my heart with all of you! I recently published a children’s book The Chicks Save Easter. You can find it on amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Chicks-Save-Easter-Helena-Rayos/dp/B086Y6K19M I pray God finds you where you are and you allow Him to take you where He has called you to love and serve Him.
