The Swing

The Swing!

We took a walk to a nearby swing set last evening. We pushed the kids and then I too took a turn. There was something about feeling the breeze as I moved back and forth. That feeling was calming and honestly filled me with peace. It was a reminder that I have so many more good moments in life left to experience even in the mist of disappointment and heartache. Life might seem dark and feel as if the life is being sucked out of me in this season but with a simple turn on the swing God sent me a breeze of peace for all He is doing in my life. When I am hurting, my heart is broken and I’m wounded deeply my hope is still in Jesus. I refuse to live wounded. I refuse to walk around broken. I can be broken and still live life to the fullest because Gods plan for my future is greater then my current circumstance.

When an awful circumstance takes place in life, you may begin to feel as though your entire world has been turned upside down. In all honesty, some circumstances do turn your entire world upside down. This can leave you feeling hopeless, insecure and lost. In these tough moments it can be difficult to see all you have left to live for. Be encouraged that the little things in life such as a turn on the swing can lift your spirits and give you a new perspective on Gods unending love for you.

“Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all.” 2 Thessalonians 3:16

Howdy! I am passionate about sharing simple God lessons through everyday real life events in my daily life. I’ve been writing since I was 11. What started off as a way to escape or cope with the uncertainty of life, has turned into a calling. I do believe that God has called me to share what He has placed on my heart with all of you! I recently published a children’s book The Chicks Save Easter. You can find it on amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Chicks-Save-Easter-Helena-Rayos/dp/B086Y6K19M I pray God finds you where you are and you allow Him to take you where He has called you to love and serve Him.
