The climb

On every trip we take we always visit new playgrounds as a family. It breaks up a long drive and they do better in the car after an hour running at a park. It’s also some free fun. When visiting a park in Florida, Ellie was was interested in climbing a tall cylinder rope tower. The object was to climb inward and up. She was nervous. She spent the first ten minutes debating if climbing was what she wanted to pursue. We warned her that it might be challenging and she might need to take breaks. She decided to climb. A little ways up she stopped and thought about coming down because her nerves were causing her stomach to feel strange. After a few minutes of taking a break she continued to climb. It wasn’t long before Jay began to attempt to climb the tower. After Ellie made it to the top she came down the slide and we Pointed her tonJay who was still climbing. We told her that because she was brave and finished something difficult it gave Jay the motivation and courage to try.

People are watching how we walk through life. When you are facing a tough situation where you are challenged and have to step back and take breaks to finish or overcome, others are watching you. There could be someone right now who continues to push through a difficult moment or season because they see you still climbing.

“Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” James 1:2-4 NLT

Howdy! I am passionate about sharing simple God lessons through everyday real life events in my daily life. I’ve been writing since I was 11. What started off as a way to escape or cope with the uncertainty of life, has turned into a calling. I do believe that God has called me to share what He has placed on my heart with all of you! I recently published a children’s book The Chicks Save Easter. You can find it on amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Chicks-Save-Easter-Helena-Rayos/dp/B086Y6K19M I pray God finds you where you are and you allow Him to take you where He has called you to love and serve Him.

  1. Great post! I completely agree that people are watching how we walk through life. It’s so important to push through tough situations and show others that it’s possible to overcome challenges. My question is, how do you personally stay motivated to push through difficult situations?

    1. Thanks for taking the time to read and reach out. My faith in Christ is a big motivator to continue pressing on when life is hard. Throughout my life I have faced difficult moments as most have. One thing I’ve learned is that God always comes through for us. He has always shown up in my life if I remain faithful. ❤️
